The Opportunity:

As an Events and Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in managing events, facilities, and residential property. This is a dynamic position that supports the school’s mission to provide a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of events on and around the school estate.
  • Manage residential property for on-site and off-site staff living close to the school.
  • Coordinate commercial lettings and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Work closely with the Estates Team to ensure smooth communication and service delivery for all events.
  • Line manage a small team and provide leadership and motivation to support event and facility operations.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across all event and facility management activities.
  • Support the termly weekend rota as the on-site Duty Manager, including weekends and evenings as required.
  • Liaise with contractors, third-party suppliers, and external stakeholders to deliver successful events and maintain facilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in event management, hospitality, or facilities management.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and risk management in event settings.
  • Strong communication skills to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • IT competence to manage systems and documentation effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or boarding school environment.
  • Experience managing and leading a small team.
  • Experience working with contractors and third-party suppliers.
  • Previous involvement in event planning or venue operations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £35 - £38k, dependent on experience.
