Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of a curriculum area with a focus on raising achievement.
  • Manage and mentor teaching and support staff to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to implement school strategies and initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
  • Support the overall management and development of the school’s academic and pastoral services.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects Catholic and British values.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and innovation in education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in a senior leadership role or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience in raising achievement across all ability ranges.
  • Demonstrable ability to meet Teachers’ Standards.
  • Experience in managing and leading staff and teams.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s mission statement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
  • Leadership experience in curriculum development and staff training.
  • Experience in school improvement and strategic planning.
  • Experience in continuous professional development and research in education.
