The Opportunity:

As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver inspiring lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking in students. You will contribute to the development of a dynamic Geography curriculum and support students in achieving strong outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Support the development of the Geography curriculum and wider Humanities faculty
  • Use engaging teaching strategies to challenge and support all learners
  • Plan and deliver lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning
  • Monitor student progress and use assessment to inform teaching and intervention
  • Contribute to collaborative planning and curriculum development within the department
  • Promote high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
  • Work with colleagues, families and support services to ensure positive outcomes for students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or working towards QTS
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related discipline
  • Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Experience with curriculum innovation and development
  • Experience in working within a collaborative team environment
  • Experience with enrichment opportunities and school-wide initiatives
