The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Fine Art, Textiles, 3D, or Photography to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Technologies department.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a dynamic and innovative curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff meetings and planning sessions.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular art activities and competitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Design.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Art and Design.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Preferred

  • Experience in a range of art disciplines, including Fine Art, Textiles, 3D, or Photography.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to continuous professional development.
