The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher - KS3 Curriculum Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and delivering high-quality Maths education. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire students, while contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a high-quality KS3 Maths curriculum that meets both internal and external standards.
- Lead and support colleagues within the Maths Faculty to raise student achievement and attainment.
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that promote student excellence and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and interventions where needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.
- Represent the Maths Faculty in meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
- Support the professional development of other teachers within the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in KS3 Maths.
- Proven track record in raising student achievement and attainment in Maths.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the KS3 Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or development.
- Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
