The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher - KS3 Curriculum Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and delivering high-quality Maths education. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire students, while contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality KS3 Maths curriculum that meets both internal and external standards.
  • Lead and support colleagues within the Maths Faculty to raise student achievement and attainment.
  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that promote student excellence and personal growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and interventions where needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.
  • Represent the Maths Faculty in meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Support the professional development of other teachers within the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in KS3 Maths.
  • Proven track record in raising student achievement and attainment in Maths.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or development.
  • Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
