Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Computer Science curriculum to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Line manage and support teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
  • Drive outstanding teaching and learning by implementing best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Monitor student progress and achievement, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
  • Promote innovation and share best practice across the department and college.
  • Contribute to whole-college improvement initiatives, supporting the school's mission and goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and PGCE with QTS/QTLS.
  • Proven experience as a passionate and inspiring Computer Science teacher.
  • A strong track record of delivering excellent A-Level results.
  • Demonstrated ability as an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and developing colleagues.
  • High expectations and a commitment to student success.

Preferred

  • Experience with subject-specific training and leadership pathways.
  • Familiarity with AQA A-Level Computer Science curriculum.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in driving curriculum innovation and improvement.
