Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that align with GCSE standards and promote a love of learning.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum.
  • Support the school’s leadership programme by integrating leadership skills into Computer Science lessons where appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience of delivering Computer Science to GCSE standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve positive outcomes for students and raise attainment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to working in a team and supporting the school’s leadership ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience of using innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience of working with disadvantaged students or in a leadership specialism setting.
  • Knowledge of coding and software development.
  • Experience of mentoring or leading other teachers.
