Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that align with GCSE standards and promote a love of learning.
- Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum.
- Support the school’s leadership programme by integrating leadership skills into Computer Science lessons where appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience of delivering Computer Science to GCSE standards.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve positive outcomes for students and raise attainment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to working in a team and supporting the school’s leadership ethos.
Preferred
- Experience of using innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
- Experience of working with disadvantaged students or in a leadership specialism setting.
- Knowledge of coding and software development.
- Experience of mentoring or leading other teachers.
