Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a transformative learning culture that drives academic excellence and student engagement.
  • Support and challenge teaching staff to deliver high-quality, innovative learning experiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of learning strategies across the school, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school's strategic direction and priorities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for students and staff.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Work closely with the Executive Headteacher to implement and review school-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure that all students are empowered to achieve their potential and take pride in their learning and community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in a similar school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a learning culture that drives academic improvement.
  • Strong track record in managing and supporting teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision making and performance evaluation.
  • Experience with supporting early career teachers or trainees.
  • Knowledge of inclusion and diversity practices in education.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
