As an Assistant Headteacher - Teaching and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in driving the school’s educational vision. You will lead and support teaching and learning initiatives, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the teaching and learning strategy across the school.
  • Support and mentor staff in implementing evidence-informed teaching practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across all year groups.
  • Oversee the delivery of professional development and instructional coaching programs.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher to ensure alignment with school-wide goals and priorities.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Coordinate and deliver targeted interventions for students who need additional support.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice among staff.
  • Ensure all students are equipped with the skills and values necessary for success beyond school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and pedagogical best practices.
  • Experience in managing and developing teaching staff.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with instructional coaching and professional development programs.
  • Familiarity with evidence-informed teaching methods.
  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
  • Background in working with diverse student populations.
