As an Assistant Headteacher - Teaching and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in driving the school’s educational vision. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the teaching and learning strategy across the school.
- Support and mentor staff in implementing evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across all year groups.
- Oversee the delivery of professional development and instructional coaching programs.
- Work closely with the Headteacher to ensure alignment with school-wide goals and priorities.
- Implement and maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Coordinate and deliver targeted interventions for students who need additional support.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice among staff.
- Ensure all students are equipped with the skills and values necessary for success beyond school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and pedagogical best practices.
- Experience in managing and developing teaching staff.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with instructional coaching and professional development programs.
- Familiarity with evidence-informed teaching methods.
- Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
- Background in working with diverse student populations.
