The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal A Levels, you will lead the A Level Curriculum and contribute to the school’s mission of academic excellence and character development. This is a unique opportunity to shape teaching practice in a supportive and innovative environment, working with a talented team of educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the A Level curriculum in line with the school’s vision and educational standards.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff to ensure best practice and high-quality instruction.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the A Level programme.
  • Promote the school’s values and character education programme, including the CTK Graces.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement and well-being.
  • Represent the school at external events and engage with stakeholders, including parents and university admissions teams.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the school’s academic and pastoral provision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a Sixth Form or similar educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of A Level curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience in driving academic excellence and student success.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission, values, and character education programme.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Catholic education or a similar values-based environment.
  • Familiarity with the CTK Graces and character development initiatives.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong track record in staff development and mentoring.
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations and supporting their academic and personal growth.
