The Opportunity:

As a Music Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education to students. You will lead project-based learning that develops students’ technical skills, creative voice, and professional behaviors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, project-based learning experiences aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Music and industry partners to guide students through the creative process from concept to showcase.
  • Develop students’ technical and creative skills while fostering professional behaviors.
  • Ensure all work meets professional standards and prepares students for future careers in the creative industries.
  • Support students in building their portfolios and showcasing their work to industry professionals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students throughout their learning journey.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate academic subjects such as Maths and English into the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in music performance and production.
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices and standards in the music sector.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver project-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in education.

Preferred

  • Experience working with industry partners or in the creative sector.
  • Background in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with digital production tools and music software.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
