The Opportunity:
As the Head of Arts and Media, you will lead and inspire a vibrant department, shaping a dynamic vocational curriculum for Level 2 and Level 3 students. This is a chance to drive creativity and academic excellence in a supportive, high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Arts and Media department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver vocational curriculum that meets the needs of students and prepares them for higher education and future careers.
- Support staff development and provide leadership to enhance teaching standards and student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with students to nurture their talents and encourage them to become confident, ambitious individuals.
- Ensure the department adheres to the school's mission and values, including the CTK Graces.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school through curriculum leadership and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching Arts and Media at Level 2 and Level 3.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of delivering high-quality education.
- Experience of developing and leading a vocational curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic educational setting.
- Familiarity with Applied Technical Qualifications.
- Experience in driving student success and achieving excellent results.
- Involvement in professional development and mentoring of staff.
