The Opportunity:

As the Head of Arts and Media, you will lead and inspire a vibrant department, shaping a dynamic vocational curriculum for Level 2 and Level 3 students. This is a chance to drive creativity and academic excellence in a supportive, high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Arts and Media department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and deliver vocational curriculum that meets the needs of students and prepares them for higher education and future careers.
  • Support staff development and provide leadership to enhance teaching standards and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with students to nurture their talents and encourage them to become confident, ambitious individuals.
  • Ensure the department adheres to the school's mission and values, including the CTK Graces.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school through curriculum leadership and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Arts and Media at Level 2 and Level 3.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of delivering high-quality education.
  • Experience of developing and leading a vocational curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Applied Technical Qualifications.
  • Experience in driving student success and achieving excellent results.
  • Involvement in professional development and mentoring of staff.
