Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development of high-quality teaching and learning in English.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring outstanding outcomes in English Literature and English Language.
- Work closely with the leadership team to implement strategies that raise standards and improve achievement.
- Provide guidance and professional development for English teachers.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and educational standards.
- Support the school’s vision of being outcomes-focused and child-centered.
- Collaborate with other leaders to drive continuous improvement across the institution.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching English at Key Stage 4.
- A strong track record in securing excellent outcomes in English.
- Experience in a leadership or management role within education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a school or college.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience with leading improvement initiatives in English education.
- Familiarity with the Northern Education Trust (NET) structures and values.
