The Opportunity:

As Assistant Principal – Head of House, you will lead a team of tutors and co-tutors, ensuring the academic and pastoral well-being of students in Grades 6–12. This role is integral to the Senior School Pastoral Leadership team and plays a vital part in shaping student success and school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of tutors and co-tutors within the assigned house.
• Oversee the academic and pastoral progress of students in Grades 6–12.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the IB Middle Years Programme.
• Support and mentor staff within the house to maintain high standards of education and student welfare.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives.
• Act as a key point of contact for students, parents, and colleagues regarding pastoral and academic matters.
• Promote and support the extra-curricular life of the school.
• Monitor and report on student performance and behavior regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably within the IB framework.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of educators.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
• Commitment to pastoral care and student welfare.
• Knowledge of the IB Middle Years Programme or IB Diploma is an advantage.

Preferred

• Experience in a senior leadership role within a school.
• Familiarity with the IB curriculum and assessment processes.
• Experience in a co-educational setting.
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities and student engagement initiatives.
