The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage specific areas of the school, including teaching and learning, behaviour, inclusion, or curriculum.
  • Drive whole-school improvement through strategic planning and effective implementation.
  • Support and develop staff through high-quality professional learning and coaching.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent and high standards of achievement.
  • Foster a positive school culture that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Represent the school in a variety of internal and external settings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong track record of improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational policy, curriculum design, and school improvement strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar large-scale educational setting.
  • Leadership experience in a range of areas such as behaviour, inclusion, or Sixth Form.
  • Experience in driving whole-school improvement and leading change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends and best practices.
