The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal - Pastoral and Personal Development, you will play a key role in shaping the character and leadership potential of students in a disadvantaged community. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose, drive impactful change, and support the school’s mission of nurturing future leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the pastoral and personal development programme to support student well-being and character growth.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s vision, values, and leadership specialism.
  • Manage and support a high-achieving faculty, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Deliver outstanding attainment and achievement across all year groups, ensuring consistency in quality and standards.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and Christian values throughout the school community.
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance opportunities for students through charitable and social action initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pastoral and personal development strategies, making data-informed improvements.
  • Represent the school at community events and engage with parents and stakeholders to build strong relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in managing a high-achieving faculty.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering sustained outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Strong commitment to the school’s values and leadership specialism.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral leadership or student well-being roles.
  • Experience working in a faith-based educational setting.
  • Leadership experience in a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
