The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Registrar, you will lead the 16+ entry point, providing leadership and operational oversight for students joining the school’s sixth form. This is a key role in delivering an outstanding admissions experience and ensuring every family’s journey with the school is welcoming and inspiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the 16+ entry point, including admissions processes, student applications, and family communications.
  • Provide leadership and support to students and families throughout the admissions journey.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Head (Admissions) and senior management team to ensure alignment with school goals.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the admissions process, including events and outreach activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, and academic staff.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and admissions criteria.
  • Support the development of the school’s admissions strategy and contribute to the growth of the 16+ entry point.
  • Utilize IT and database systems to manage admissions data and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in school admissions, preferably at a senior level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT and database systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • A flexible approach to work, including the ability to attend weekend and evening events.
  • Alignment with the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or A levels.
  • Background in managing admissions events and outreach initiatives.
  • Experience working in a co-educational environment.
  • Knowledge of school operations and the admissions cycle.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £46,723 (FTE).
  • Term-time working with 3 additional weeks of holiday, including 1 week during the October half term.
