The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registrar to join our team. This role is central to managing the admissions process for 11+ and 16+ entry and for occasional vacancies. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions experience for prospective students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the admissions process for 11+ and 16+ entry, including occasional vacancies.
- Deliver admissions and induction events to prospective students and their families.
- Liaise with a range of staff from different departments to ensure a cohesive approach to admissions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Assistant Registrar and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to admissions.
- Support the Head and other senior staff in the administration of the school.
- Provide clear and accurate communication to applicants, parents, and staff throughout the admissions process.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the admissions process and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- In-depth knowledge of schools, particularly in the independent sector.
- Relevant experience in a school environment, with a focus on admissions and administration.
- Excellent communication and ICT skills.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with admissions processes for both 11+ and 16+ entry.
- Experience in managing events and liaising with a range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the use of school management systems and software.
- Experience in a similar role within an independent school setting.
