The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Sports Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s mission to develop well-rounded students. You will assist in delivering engaging and enriching physical activities that promote the holistic development of children aged 4 to 13.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and assist teaching staff in meeting the educational, physical and social needs of students
• Deliver a range of stimulating activities that support physical, intellectual, emotional and social development
• Assist in planning and delivering sports-related programs and events
• Encourage and promote a healthy, active lifestyle among students
• Work closely with the lead sports tutor to ensure consistency and quality in all activities
• Monitor and support student progress in physical development and wellbeing
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students during physical activities
• Collaborate with other staff to integrate physical development into the overall curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Commitment to supporting children’s physical and social development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff

Preferred

• Experience in playing or coaching rugby
• Knowledge of child development and physical education best practices
• Experience in a school or educational environment
