The Opportunity:

As an Associate Headteacher, you will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher and driving school improvement. This is a leadership position that offers the chance to shape the future of a school committed to excellence and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in delivering the school’s vision, ethos, and strategic priorities
  • Deputise for the Headteacher when required
  • Foster honest, open, and constructive professional dialogue with all stakeholders
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and aspirational environment for students and staff
  • Lead relevant meetings and ensure effective communication across the school
  • Support staff in achieving high standards through professional development
  • Encourage positive relationships between pupils and staff
  • Uphold the school’s values and policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least three years of proven senior leadership and management experience in a secondary school at Deputy level or above
  • Experience in leading and managing staff effectively
  • Strong understanding of school improvement and leadership
  • Commitment to British values and inclusive education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of PSHE, Citizenship, and RE curriculum
  • Experience in supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience in managing and leading large teams
