Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Resistant Materials within the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Support the development of students’ practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ensure a safe and effective learning environment in workshop settings, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote cross-disciplinary learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of Key Stage 3 and 4 programmes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology or an appropriate subject.
  • Experience of teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices in workshop environments.
  • Commitment to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork among students.

Preferred

  • Experience with food technology.
  • Ability to deliver practical, hands-on learning experiences.
