The Opportunity:

As a School Business Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s business support services. This is a vital position that supports the delivery of an outstanding learning environment for students, teachers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate business support services across the school.
  • Oversee financial, HR, and premises operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and monitor effective ICT administration systems.
  • Ensure all data protection and legislative requirements are met.
  • Support the delivery of the school’s leadership and academic programmes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff, pupils, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business operations with school goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Proven management experience in a public or private sector setting.
  • Experience in financial, HR, business, and/or premises operations.
  • Strong knowledge of effective ICT administration systems.
  • Understanding of data protection legislative requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Background in leadership or character development programmes.
  • Experience in a school environment with a strong focus on student welfare and academic excellence.
