The Opportunity:

A Teaching Assistant is needed to support students with SEND and help them achieve their full potential. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise students with SEND in the classroom and during lessons.
  • Assist in delivering learning activities tailored to the needs of students with additional requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent support for students.
  • Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour as required.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by supporting the learning journey of every student.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support a range of students and learning needs.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies.
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques.
  • A passion for education and student development.
