The Opportunity:
A Teaching Assistant is needed to support students with SEND and help them achieve their full potential. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise students with SEND in the classroom and during lessons.
- Assist in delivering learning activities tailored to the needs of students with additional requirements.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent support for students.
- Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour as required.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the overall success of the school by supporting the learning journey of every student.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students with SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to support a range of students and learning needs.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies.
- Experience with behaviour management techniques.
- A passion for education and student development.
