The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring high attendance rates for students, supporting their academic success and future opportunities. This is a vital role in a school that values community, ambition, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track student attendance records to ensure compliance with school and national standards.
- Liaise with students, parents, and external agencies to address attendance issues and support families.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on attendance trends and interventions.
- Implement and promote strategies to improve attendance across the academy.
- Support safeguarding procedures and ensure all actions align with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to identify and address barriers to attendance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policies and data protection requirements.
- Contribute to the development of attendance improvement initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in education, including KCSIE and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in a school or education setting, preferably with attendance management responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good IT skills, including the use of school management systems.
Preferred
- Experience in a school environment with a focus on student support and attendance improvement.
- Knowledge of child development and the ability to engage effectively with students and families.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with the United Learning Trust or similar educational organisations.
