The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting and supporting high levels of attendance and punctuality. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and who values strong communication with parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and support high levels of attendance and punctuality across the school.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and encouragement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure consistent communication and support.
- Work closely with the pastoral team to ensure a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Assist with monitoring and recording attendance data accurately and promptly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance improvement strategies.
- Provide a friendly and approachable presence for students, ensuring they feel supported and valued.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address attendance challenges and provide targeted support where needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A clean driving license and valid business insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
- Commitment to the school’s values of compassion, ambition, and inclusion.
- Experience in a pastoral or support role, preferably in an educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience in attendance management or student support roles.
- Knowledge of educational welfare and student well-being practices.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special educational needs.
- Familiarity with school management systems and data recording software.
