The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team as an Attendance Officer. This role is essential in ensuring consistent student attendance and supporting the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record student attendance on a daily basis
  • Liaise with parents and carers to address attendance concerns
  • Support the school in implementing effective attendance strategies
  • Provide regular attendance reports to relevant staff and management
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to improve student engagement
  • Assist in the organisation of attendance-related meetings and events
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements
  • Contribute to the overall student support framework

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in attendance or pastoral care
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using school management systems and software
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a part-time or flexible working environment
  • Knowledge of attendance policies and procedures in schools
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations
