The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Mentor, you will play a key role in improving student attendance and engagement by working directly with pupils and families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and support the school's mission of ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils to achieve and maintain attendance rates of at least 95%
• Re-engage disengaged pupils through mentoring, 1:1 sessions, and in-class support
• Promote pupil well-being and build positive relationships with families
• Collect pupils from home and accompany them to school
• Liaise with pupils, parents, and external professionals as needed
• Collaborate with staff across the school to support pupil welfare
• Contribute to the school’s Roman Catholic ethos and participate in its wider life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in working with young people and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the school’s Roman Catholic ethos
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and parents
• Experience in addressing barriers to attendance and learning

Preferred

• Experience in mentoring or pastoral support roles
• Knowledge of educational welfare processes
• Experience with safeguarding and child protection
• Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement practices

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £34,099 per annum
