The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and Catholic ethos
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning
  • Support and promote the spiritual, social, and academic development of all pupils
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and local partnership for shared practice and professional development
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in school-wide events, pastoral care, and extra-curricular activities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and statutory requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and ability to deliver it effectively
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Experience in creating and managing a positive classroom environment

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school setting
  • Experience with teaching in a multicultural environment
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience with leading or contributing to professional development initiatives
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies
