The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students and families to improve attendance and engagement. This is a key position in ensuring that all students have consistent access to learning and can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student attendance data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Work closely with families, pastoral staff, and external agencies to support students with attendance challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions to address the root causes of non-attendance.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them rebuild confidence and re-engage with their education.
  • Communicate effectively with families to build strong, positive relationships.
  • Ensure all actions are in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Use data intelligently to drive continuous improvement in attendance outcomes.
