The Opportunity:

As a Business Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional business support to pupils, teachers, and stakeholders. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a school that values leadership, character development, and educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial, HR, business, and premises operations to ensure smooth running of the school.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including governors and external agencies.
  • Implement and monitor ICT administration systems to support efficient business operations.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to pupils, staff, and external partners.
  • Support the delivery of a leadership programme that inspires social action and character development.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business operations with the school’s strategic goals.
  • Prepare reports and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Proven experience in management within a public or private sector setting.
  • Experience in financial, HR, business, and/or premises operations.
  • Strong knowledge of effective ICT administration systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports for stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or school administration.
  • Background in leadership development or community engagement.
  • Familiarity with Star Academies’ values and mission.
