The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring student attendance is effectively managed and monitored, supporting the school's commitment to academic success and student welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student attendance records and lesson monitoring data.
  • Produce attendance charts, statistics, and evidence for penalty fines or court cases.
  • Provide general clerical support, including typing, word processing, reprographics, filing, and preparation of reports and letters.
  • Assist with the administration of meetings and the production of minutes.
  • Support the school in maintaining high standards of attendance and punctuality across all year groups.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure consistent attendance practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school office and support the overall administrative function.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in attendance management or student support roles.
  • Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
  • Experience with data analysis or reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
