The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring student attendance is effectively managed and monitored, supporting the school's commitment to academic success and student welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor student attendance records and lesson monitoring data.
- Produce attendance charts, statistics, and evidence for penalty fines or court cases.
- Provide general clerical support, including typing, word processing, reprographics, filing, and preparation of reports and letters.
- Assist with the administration of meetings and the production of minutes.
- Support the school in maintaining high standards of attendance and punctuality across all year groups.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure consistent attendance practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the school office and support the overall administrative function.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in attendance management or student support roles.
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Experience with data analysis or reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
