The Opportunity:
As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in providing exceptional administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of a high-performing school. This is a chance to work in an environment that values innovation, dedication, and the development of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and accurate administrative support to staff, pupils, and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain school databases and records using appropriate software.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of school events, meetings, and communications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Support the school's leadership and academic programmes by maintaining high standards of organisation and service.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed to deadlines and with a high level of accuracy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of educational policies and procedures.
- Experience with leadership or character development programmes.
- Familiarity with Star Academies' values and mission.
