Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students at KS4 and A Level.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the latest scientific knowledge and pedagogical best practices.
• Support student learning through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and expertise.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school's values.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to departmental planning and review.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress tracking.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to support student achievement and school values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant science degree from an established university.
• PGCE or QTS qualification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Demonstrated ability to reflect on and improve teaching practice.

Preferred

• Advanced subject knowledge including A Level and practical science skills.
• Experience in mentoring or training new teachers.
• Familiarity with ITT (Initial Teacher Training) processes.
• Experience with online learning platforms and digital resources.
