The Opportunity:

A Biology Teacher is needed to join a thriving and well-resourced Science Faculty. This is an exciting chance to inspire students with high-quality Biology teaching, from Key Stage 3 to A Level. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology from Key Stage 3 through to A Level, ensuring engaging and structured lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Biology curriculum.
  • Support students in their academic and personal growth.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Ensure the safe and effective delivery of practical experiments and classroom activities.
  • Maintain a well-organised and efficient working environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant Biology-based degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in teaching Biology at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
  • Reflective, well-organised, and committed to professional development.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Science department.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or working with diverse student groups.
  • Experience in enrichment or extra-curricular activities related to Science.
