The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join its successful and supportive faculty on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a thriving curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons that motivate and challenge pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Teach French and German at Key Stage 3, and one of French, Spanish or German at GCSE level.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the Languages Faculty.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through tailored teaching and guidance.
  • Participate in extracurricular and enrichment opportunities such as clubs, trips, and exchanges.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student welfare and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong linguistic knowledge in French and German.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at A Level.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a school with a similar ethos or academic profile.
