The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic and collaborative Science Faculty. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and contribute to a thriving academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-structured lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Chemistry curriculum.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant Chemistry-based degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Reflective, well-organised, and committed to professional growth.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to enrichment activities.
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups.
