The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic and collaborative Science Faculty. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and contribute to a thriving academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-structured lessons.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Chemistry curriculum.
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant Chemistry-based degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence in teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Reflective, well-organised, and committed to professional growth.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in leading or contributing to enrichment activities.
- Experience in working with diverse student groups.
