The Opportunity:
A Biology Teacher is required to support the Senior School Science provision on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic and well-resourced science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology lessons to students across all key stages.
- Foster a love of science through engaging and interactive teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Science and STEM curricula.
- Support extracurricular Science activities and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in Biology and Science education.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and community activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Biology or Science Teacher with relevant experience.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student success and personal development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at both GCSE and A-level.
- Familiarity with STEM innovation and modern teaching techniques.
- Experience with extracurricular Science activities.
- Passion for inspiring young people and promoting a love of science.
