The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified German Teacher to deliver engaging lessons from beginner to A-level. This is a permanent position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver German lessons across all age ranges.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the school's vibrant and creative atmosphere.
  • Mark pupils’ work and provide regular feedback to support their progress.
  • Maintain a stimulating classroom environment with displays of student work.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through reports, meetings, and regular updates.
  • Ensure students are well-prepared for public examinations and curriculum requirements.
  • Use IT systems and digital resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review teaching materials and schemes of work.
  • Support pastoral care by promoting student safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree level or equivalent qualification.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE).
  • High fluency in spoken and written German.
  • Experience in teaching and assessing pupils at GCSE and A Level.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in German.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Preferred

  • Additional language teaching experience.
  • Experience working with highly talented young musicians.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in an international setting.
  • Commitment to professional development and collaboration.

Compensation & Benefits:
