The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and motivated Peripatetic Singing and Piano Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across a range of abilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach individual singing and piano lessons to students ranging from beginner to diploma level.
  • Motivate and inspire students to develop their musical skills and confidence.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Music Department to enhance the school's music programme.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continued development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in music education and pedagogy.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified music teacher with experience in singing and piano instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Experience teaching students across a range of abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with music performance and assessment.
  • Familiarity with curriculum standards in music education.
  • Experience in working with young people in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of music technology and digital resources.
