Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in History and Government & Politics across all key stages.
• Support students in achieving excellent examination results.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
• Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Uphold and promote the school’s values and ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
• Experience in teaching History and Government & Politics at key stages 3 and 4.
• Commitment to student achievement and academic excellence.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Willingness to work within a Catholic ethos.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Government & Politics A Level.
• Early career or experienced teacher with a track record of examination success.
• Experience with CPD and leadership development.
• Familiarity with the Ascension Catholic Academy Trust.
