The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic science department. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and committed to delivering a high-quality education. The position is fixed term, covering maternity leave until the return of the permanent teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons up to A Level.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s Science curriculum.
• Support students in achieving academic success and fostering a love for science.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and co-curricular activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students as needed.
• Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of assessment methods.
• Stay updated with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Biology up to A Level.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student achievement.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
