The Opportunity:

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning that drives student progress and fosters a love of the subject. You will be part of a dedicated team and contribute to curriculum development and student outcomes. This role also includes form tutoring, providing vital support to students and helping them develop key learning attributes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Develop and implement a structured curriculum sequence in line with school and national standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents to ensure progress and engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and learning.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate relevant content into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Completed Early Career Framework (ECF)
  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at the appropriate level
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and families

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or subject team leadership
  • Experience with form tutoring or pastoral care
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and pedagogy
  • Experience in delivering enrichment activities or extracurricular programs
