The Opportunity:

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will inspire students across all secondary Key Stages with a passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a genuine love of learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that promote student engagement and academic progress.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families to support learning and development.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to students in your assigned year group.
  • Participate in weekly CPD sessions to enhance teaching practice and pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with Subject Team Leaders and the Collegiate Trust Education Team to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s cultural curriculum through trips, visits, and enrichment activities.
  • Support the school’s mission to instill strong moral values and a lifelong love of learning in students.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or the ability to obtain it before the role begins.
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Commitment to high standards of behaviour and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching across all Key Stages.
  • Background in pastoral care or form tutoring.
  • Experience with professional development and pedagogical improvement.
  • Familiarity with the cultural curriculum and enrichment activities.
