The Opportunity:
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will inspire students across all secondary Key Stages with a passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a genuine love of learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that promote student engagement and academic progress.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support learning and development.
- Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to students in your assigned year group.
- Participate in weekly CPD sessions to enhance teaching practice and pedagogy.
- Collaborate with Subject Team Leaders and the Collegiate Trust Education Team to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s cultural curriculum through trips, visits, and enrichment activities.
- Support the school’s mission to instill strong moral values and a lifelong love of learning in students.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or the ability to obtain it before the role begins.
- Experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and families.
- Commitment to high standards of behaviour and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching across all Key Stages.
- Background in pastoral care or form tutoring.
- Experience with professional development and pedagogical improvement.
- Familiarity with the cultural curriculum and enrichment activities.
