Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the department team, ensuring consistency and high standards in teaching and learning.
• Design and deliver a high-quality curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on exam subjects.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student engagement and academic progress.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance to ensure continuous improvement in outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Principal and Senior Leadership Team to refine and enhance the curriculum.
• Support the delivery of the school’s cultural and extracurricular programs, including trips, clubs, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
• Participate in professional development initiatives and contribute to the ongoing growth of the teaching team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and completion of the Early Career Framework (ECF).
• Specialist knowledge in Computer Science and/or Business Studies.
• Experience in teaching and leading a department team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to student success and a positive school culture.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum design and delivery at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
• Previous leadership experience within a school setting.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities or student enrichment programs.
