Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Biology to students across a range of levels.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of AAQ Human Biology and AAQ Applied Science courses.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and academic support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities and enrichment programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Biology or a related subject.
  • A relevant degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Experience in delivering AAQ Human Biology and AAQ Applied Science.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with an outstanding Ofsted rating.
  • Background in Catholic or faith-based education.
  • Experience in developing and delivering Level 3 courses.
  • Familiarity with T Levels or BTEC qualifications.
  • Experience in pastoral support or student welfare.
