The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Temporary Art and Film Studies Teacher to join a school renowned for its Outstanding Ofsted rating and commitment to student achievement. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Film Studies that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
- Plan and assess student progress in line with the school’s academic standards and curriculum requirements.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in Art and Film Studies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to the arts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Film Studies.
- Strong knowledge of Art and Film Studies curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Experience in delivering lessons to a range of ages and abilities.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
Preferred
- Experience in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and pastoral support.
- Familiarity with creative and digital media in education.
- Experience in developing and delivering enrichment programs in the arts.
- Experience with sixth form teaching and student progression.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between £33,465 to £51,714 per annum depending on experience.
