The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Film Studies that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
  • Plan and assess student progress in line with the school’s academic standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in Art and Film Studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to the arts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Film Studies.
  • Strong knowledge of Art and Film Studies curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to a range of ages and abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and pastoral support.
  • Familiarity with creative and digital media in education.
  • Experience in developing and delivering enrichment programs in the arts.
  • Experience with sixth form teaching and student progression.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £33,465 to £51,714 per annum depending on experience.
