The Opportunity:
As a Biomedical Sciences Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting student learning on the International Foundation Programme. You will contribute to the development of course materials and assessments, working closely with a dedicated team of educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in Biomedical Sciences and Research & Data Skills
- Collaborate with the Science and Engineering Course Team to develop and refine course content and assessments
- Support students in developing research and data skills relevant to biomedical sciences
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning outcomes
- Work in line with the Centre’s core principles of development, reflexivity, and collaboration
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the International Foundation Programme
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven teaching experience in Biomedical Sciences or Biology at level 3
- Experience in supporting students’ development of research and data skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within a Higher Education setting
- Familiarity with the International Foundation Programme or similar pre-university courses
- Experience with curriculum design and development
- Knowledge of educational technologies and online teaching tools
