The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and organised Brass Music Teacher to inspire students across the Senior and Junior Schools. The role involves developing brass playing initiatives with the support of the Director of Music, making a meaningful impact on student engagement and musical growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach brass instruments to students in the Senior and Junior Schools.
• Develop and deliver engaging and innovative brass music lessons.
• Collaborate with the Director of Music to enhance brass performance opportunities.
• Support students in progressing their musical skills and confidence.
• Organise and conduct rehearsals, ensembles, and performances.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards.
• Contribute to the broader music curriculum and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified music teacher with experience in brass instrument instruction.
• Strong knowledge of brass repertoire and performance techniques.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience teaching in a school or educational setting.
• Background in ensemble or orchestral conducting.
• Familiarity with music technology and digital teaching tools.
• Ability to contribute to extra-curricular music activities.
