The Opportunity:
As an Economics and Business Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to the development of the Business and Economics curricula. This is an opportunity to shape student learning and make a meaningful impact on academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Business and/or Economics curriculum as outlined by the Head of Department.
- Contribute to the review, development, and management of the Business and/or Economics curricula.
- Ensure all students make excellent progress in their learning through effective teaching and assessment.
- Maintain discipline and classroom standards in line with school policies.
- Oversee and organise resources for each group of students within departmental parameters.
- Complete all student assessment requirements, including marking of homework, assessments, and coursework.
- Participate in School Evaluation and INSET sessions, including pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Contribute to the construction of an annual departmental plan and advise on resource requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Economics and/or Business at A Level.
- Ability to deliver high-standard teaching and maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Commitment to student progress and assessment.
- Experience in curriculum development and management.
- Strong organisational and resource management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring and safeguarding.
- Involvement in co-curricular activities and events.
- Experience in professional learning groups or ongoing teacher development.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching practices and research-based pedagogy.
