Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Business and Economics to students at all levels.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through pastoral care and mentorship.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and community involvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
  • Experience in teaching at GCSE and/or A Level.
  • Excellent classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to developing the highest standards of learning and teaching.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Economics to A Level.
  • A track record of securing good student progress and outcomes.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and SEND support.
